Scottie Scheffler has won five times on the PGA Tour this season and is breaking records left and right, but he’ll never have a better winning percentage than Dougie MacIntyre. The (most likely) one-time fill-in caddie for son Robert MacIntyre will remain 1-0 after the duo’s RBC Canadian Open victory now that the recent PGA Tour winner has decided on a new looper. It was a hell of a run.
Despite his first tour win with his dad on the bag, MacIntyre will switch over to Mike Burrow as his new full-time caddie as Pinehurst’s U.S. Open quickly approaches. The two worked together at the PGA Championship at Valhalla and partnered for quite a few events back in October.
Burrow joined the MacIntyre team while Danny Willett recovered from shoulder surgery, and with Willett sidelined for Pinehurst No. 2, Burrow felt like a perfect fit. MacIntyre split with fomer looper Mike Thomson right before the Ryder Cup and temporarily played with Greg Milne on the bag for the international competition.
