Legendary gymnast Simone Biles is set to captivate audiences once more with the Netflix series “Simone Biles Rising.”

The show delves into her vulnerabilities, triumphs, and setbacks, exploring her comeback to the sport after the surprising events at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Simone Biles’ husband Jonathan Owens gets hyped over her perfect vault

Despite backlash and internet trolls, Biles‘ partner Jonathan Owens has been a steadfast support as she prepares for another Olympic run in Paris in 2024.

NFL player Owens recently tweeted about his excitement for the world to see Biles’ human side, a sentiment echoed in the Netflix series trailer.

Owens has been open about his relationship with Biles, despite facing criticism for not recognizing her status as a gymnastics GOAT when they first met.

Connecting in 2020 on the Raya dating app, Owens, then with the Houston Texans, was unaware of Biles‘ fame.

His honesty about his initial ignorance drew some controversy, but Owens did not back down. He explained that Biles never boasted about her accomplishments and his busy NFL schedule made it hard to watch the Olympics.

“People judge you and they don’t have a clue about my character. If you ask anyone about me, I try to be a genuine person,” Owens stated on the Pivot podcast.

Owens moved to defend his wife against unfair criticism

Now, with the trailer’s release, he stands firm against criticism. His tweet underscores his vested interest in Biles‘ reputation and how she is treated on the global stage.

Biles has also fiercely defended Owens against criticism. After her win at the U.S. Classic, Biles and Owens shared a joyful Instagram picture, sparking more criticism. Biles responded forcefully on her Instagram story.

“Respectfully f*** off & if you keep commenting or tweeting at me, I’m just going to block you,” Biles posted.

Owens echoed her views, urging detractors to accept her or move on. Biles has consistently highlighted Owens‘ thoughtfulness and support, calling him the “sweetest guy” on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast and expressing her frustration at the criticism of their relationship.
