Cleveland Browns place kicker Dustin Hopkins (7) and guard Wyatt Teller (77) celebrate after Hopkins kicked a field goal during the second half against the San Francisco 49ers
Browns’ final injury report before hosting Ravens shows they could get Pro Bowler back on the fieldBrandon LittleWhen the Cleveland Browns (1-6) suit up against the Baltimore Ravens (5-2) for the first time this season, they will be doing it with Jameis Winston starting at quarterback.Deshaun Watson underwent surgery for his Achilles injury today and his season is over. Dorian Thompson-Robinson will be a go against Baltimore with his finger injury to be the backup for Winston. Heading into the game against the Baltimore Ravens, the Browns will have some other players down.Left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr., running back Jerome Ford, safety Ronnie Hickman, and linebacker Jordan Hicks were all ruled out.Additionally, the team labeled right guard Wyatt Teller as questionable to play. Teller missed the last four games on the injured reserve with a knee injury and has a chance to get back on the field in Week 8. Wills missed his third straight practice with his knee injury that could sideline him against the Ravens. Cleveland’s starting left tackle missed the first two weeks of the season healing from the knee injury that only allowed him to play in eight games last season for the Browns. With James Hudson out for the season, it will be interesting to see if the Browns give Dawand Jones his first snaps at left tackle. With Jack Conklin healthy it could be on the table. The Promising news for the Browns is that Ford returned to practice on Friday with his hamstring injury that has kept him out the last couple of games. Though he won’t be active, this should set him up to return next week. With Nick Chubb back for Cleveland, getting Ford back on the field would give the Browns a nice one-two punch.Neither Hicks nor Hickman practiced all week for Cleveland, so it is no surprise that they won’t be able to suit up against Baltimore. Linebacker Mohamoud Diabate will fill in for Hicks just like he did against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Browns still have their top three safeties Grant Delpit, Juan Thornhill, and Rodney McLeod — so the loss of Hickman should have minimal impact.
