You can’t float a sinking boat’, and who else to stand as an example of the saying if not the GOAT himself? Yes, you may be surprised to hear that Tiger Woods did, in fact, try to save his marriage or rather postpone the divorce with his now ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, but for the reasons you might be thinking. We all know how the messy divorce was all over the news in 2010, but what you might not know are the little details that are finally showing themselves. In a 2-month-old YouTube video posted by Cordell and Cordell William Halaz III, the details of Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren’s prenuptial agreement were revealed and you won’t believe the numbers here! So, here’s the thing – Woods and Nordegren’s prenup said she’d get $20 million if they made it to 10 years of marriage. However, following the scandal that led to their divorce, the initial reports suggested that Nordegren’s settlement would be a staggering $750 million. Can you believe it?In the end, though, she walked away with around $100 million. It’s pretty wild that Woods actually tried to convince Nordegren to stick it out a bit longer by offering her $5 million upfront and another $55 just so she’d hit that 10-year mark and score the $10 million payout from their prenup if she stuck around until 2011. But according to Nordegren, money couldn’t buy happiness. “Money doesn’t make you happy, but I have to be honest: It is making some things easier,” said Nordegren, per People.
