August 9, 2024

An incredible final quarter saw Team USA progress to the 2024 Olympic Games’ gold medal match

The old guard of the United States’ men’s team fought back to stun Serbia and reach the 2024 Olympic Games basketball final and LeBron James’ message to Steph Curry has quickly gone viral online.

Serbia once led the contest by 17 points as the Denver Nuggets’ Nikola Jokic seemed poised to pull off a miracle but a 32-15 scoreline saw Steve Kerr’s USA come back from the brink to book their place against France.

The Golden State Warriors’ Curry posted 36 points whilst LeBron scored a triple-double (16-12-10) at the Accor Arena in Paris and the Los Angeles Lakers’ star’s war cry has quickly gone viral online after the slender 95-91 win.

“One more.. one f—ing more,” James said to his teammates. “We already knew we were going to be tested this f—ng tournament.

“Motherfkin’ Chef & Joe [Curry and Joel Embiid], y’all motherkers carried us tonight. One more goddammit.”

The USA have now won all of their games, but this was the first time they’ve truly been tested and had to dig deep to pull the rabbit out of the hat.

The game went viral online for the roles of James, Curry and Durant. The NBA stars are in their senior years of the sport, and this will likely be their final Olympic Games, so they gave fans one more classic and they loved it.

One user posted to X.com, formerly Twitter, “What a good leader.”

A second added, “Gave me goosebumps, bro.”

A third commented, “That’s a leader!!!”

The USA will face another NBA star in front of them after moving past Jokic when they compete in the gold medal game on August 10 as they take on Victor Wembanyama’s France at 15:30 ET/12:30 PT.

France defeated the FIBA World Champions, Germany, 73-69 to progress to the final at the tournament they’re hosting, with the San Antonio Spurs’ star scoring 11 points, seven rebounds and four assists.
