In the final weekend of prep ahead of next week’s PGA Championship, Xander Schauffele has to be feeling pretty good about his prospects.
The seven-time PGA Tour winner holds a four-shot lead at the Wells Fargo Championship halfway point, with a total score of 11 under par. Schauffele’s closest adversaries? Rory McIlroy and Jason Day, who are tied for second at seven under par.
The PGA Tour stops for a signature event at the Wells Fargo Championship. Can Wyndham Clark defend his title? Or will another top player peak right before the PGA Championship?
McIlroy will play in the final pairing with Schauffele on Saturday. The duo will tee off at 1:35 p.m. ET. Day will play in the penultimate pairing with Taylor Moore at 1:25 p.m. ET.
You can watch the third round of the Wells Fargo Championship on ESPN+ with exclusive early action and featured group coverage all day, and on Golf Channel starting at 1 p.m. ET followed by CBS at 3 p.m. ET.
