Let the world know your perspective. ended her ‘Redemption Tour’ in Paris 2024 with three Olympic golds and a silver. However, after bashing the shadow of failure at Tokyo 2020, Biles embarked on the Gold Over America Tour in September. While the 27-year-old headlined the first edition of the tour in 2021, the ongoing edition is grander and more special. That’s because the 2021 tour happened in the shadow of the Olympian’s Tokyo 2020 disappointment.
However, the current tour has been a success in more ways than one. Besides Simone Biles riding high on her Paris Olympics success, the roster includes Olympic gold medalists such as Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey, Hezly Rivera, and the entire bronze medal-winning USA men’s gymnastics team. Now, with only five more dates left in the tour, Biles has returned to perform at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, with a star-studded roster.
The GOAT contingent arrived in Ohio after three stops in Texas. The most notable among these was Houston, where the Olympic medalist opened However, now Biles and Co. are ready to rock Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse on October 27 at 7:00 pm. Situated in “the heart” of downtown Cleveland, Ohio, the arena is home to the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers and the AHL’s Cleveland Monsters.
Simone Biles and the original GOAT lineup first performed here three years ago on October 20, 2021. Among the Team USA gymnasts who’re returning to the venue are Katelyn Ohashi and Peng Peng Lee. With the memories of the previous original show not yet faded and anticipating the 27-year-old’s success in Paris, the Athleta-sponsored tour announced its arrival at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse as early as May 9, 2024
After Simone Biles and Team USA Gymnastics’ medal-winning success in Paris, it’s safe to assume that hype for the show has only increased. The athletes, and especially the bronze medal-winning men’s team, also participated in marketing the grand tour after Paris 2024. “From the world’s stage to the GOAT stage, this incredible journey continues, and I can’t wait for fans to see what we have in store this year,” Biles said in May. However, there’s a good reason why Gold Over America chose the iconic Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse to host the anticipated event.
Completed in 1994, the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse has hosted thousands of events over the years. “We Create Extraordinary Experiences. All The Time. For Everyone.” reads their official mission statement. It’s a statement that lines up perfectly with the spirit of the 2024 Gold Over America Tour. The show’s creator, Mark Swanhart, said something similar about GOAT.
“We’ve put together an all-new show unlike anything that’s been staged before with gymnastics,” said the director. Thankfully, the staff at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse are not strangers when it comes to organizing massive events. As the home ground for a basketball and ice hockey team, the arena is versatile, boasting a capacity of over 19,000.
NBA games featuring the Cleveland Cavaliers can host nearly 19,500 fans. Besides general seating, the arena hosting Simone Biles and Co. has several premium lounges. Exclusive suites such as the Lexus Signature Lounge, Oswald Club, Westfield Champions Club, and many more are available for high-profile guests. And finally comes the frequency of events.
The Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse “welcomes close to two million guests to 200+ events each year,” reveals the official website. While the majority of these events are sports-centric, including NBA and AHL regular season games, the arena regularly plays host to concerts and special events such as the Simone Biles-led tour
