Max Verstappen is hoping to get closer to a third consecutive drivers’ title in Mexico this weekend, after the Dutchman nearly crossed the line in a battle with Lando Norris after a controversial finish at the United States Grand Prix.
Norris was imposed after a 5 -second penalty was trying to pass through Verstappen outside the truck restriction.
He came after the Red Bull driver escaped punishment by managing McLaren’s rivals at the start of the race.
Several drivers, including Lewis Hamilton, have called for a permanent judging panel to be introduced to improve consistency, and only time will tell if controversy will reignite at the Mexican Grand Prix, where Norris is looking to get revenge and win.
