As Lewis Hamilton continues to endure a difficult 2024 F1 season, Ferrari’s confidence in the seven-time champion has been called into question.
But despite this year’s difficulties, Hamilton and Ferrari remain confident in their partnership for 2025.
Hamilton has struggled to connect with his W15 car, but despite this he still sits sixth in the drivers’ standings, ahead of teammate George Russell.
He won two races this season, the first at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone and the second at Belgium. Despite his lack of confidence behind the steering wheel, his racing skills and prowess always shone through.
But his journey this season has not been without major obstacles. The United States Grand Prix in particular proved he was still in the fight, as a spin caused by a car malfunction forced him to abandon the race midway through.
Meanwhile, his teammate, George Russell, also survived in the intense weekend after in the third quarter in the third quarter.
Just a few months to move to Ferrari in 2025, Hamilton looks at the future, rich in potential in one of the most legendary teams of Formula 1.
A Ferrari that’s performing well, with first and second places at COTA, would be an even bigger reward for the British driver.
“Even if Ferrari doesn’t win the race, I don’t think he’ll think it was (a bad decision),” Kravitz said. You could say Mercedes had a great Grand Prix and Ferrari didn’t. There were races where Ferrari was doing poorly and Mercedes was doing well.
Kravitz continued:
“I think Lewis is thinking about what’s going on at Ferrari. It’s the same thing. If you’re Ferrari, you might see the race where Lewis is totally surprised and ask yourself: “What’s going on with Lewis?”.
“In the next race, Lewis is doing a great job and Ferrari will think we won, we have a winner.”
Looking ahead, there remains uncertainty as to when Hamilton will have his first test with Ferrari. According to reports, Mercedes will not allow Hamilton to take part in the regular test after the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
“Everything is fine.
Look, I don’t think they’re worried about that. Lewis can’t wait to start working at Ferrari – he said so in the press conference if we asked him. Ferrari can’t wait for it. It’s all good, they’re looking forward to it.”
2025 will be an exciting season for the sport.
