Browns Pass Rusher Makes Unfortunate Announcement After ‘Freak Accident’

The Cleveland Browns are set to face more adversity as the 1-3 team enters Week 5. The Browns will be without a key pass rusher for the remainder of the season. The Browns’ defense has 11 sacks after the first four games of the season, the 15th most in the league. Myles Garrett leads the team with four sacks, while Za’Darius Smith has the second-most with two. Third-year defense end Alex Wright has one sack, but he won’t add any more to his total for the 2024 campaign. Wright announced on X that he would miss the remainder of the season due to a triceps injury he sustained in a “freak accident” in Week 2. “After the Jacksonville game, I got an MRI on my tricep because i was dealing with pain from a strain in the same spot during joint practice vs the vikings,” Wright posted on X. “Somehow it became Freak accident because i didn’t even use my right arm on the play. So after finding out about it I still battled through the pain and all. Fast forward I got my last MRI checkup and it has progressed to worse from a partial tear. So now surgery is taking place which leads me to missing the rest of the season” Cleveland Browns defensive end Alex Wright and Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence.
