After winning the Solheim Cup with Team USA, it didn’t take long for Nelly Korda to return to competition on the LPGA Tour.
One week after winning at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club, Korda will compete in the Kroger Queen City Championship at TPC River’s Bend in Maineville, Ohio.
The transition from team play to individual play can be difficult, a topic that was addressed in Korda’s press conference prior to the event.
The world number one said she had a very \”original\” way of dealing with the transition. Nelly Korda was quoted as saying (via ASAP Sports):
“Just hate all the girls again. (Laughs). “
“No, it’s crazy the friendships that are built when you’re all on the same team during the Solheim Cup. There are really lifelong friendships that are built during the Solheim Cup,” she added. Korda further commented on the friendships that formed during the recent Solheim Cup:
“I know Alison [Lee], Megan [Khang] pretty well; also Lilia [Vu]. But all the other girls, like I didn’t know Sarah [Schmelzel] at all. Obviously, with Rose (Chang), we got younger and closer to her. I got closer to LC (Lauren Coughlin) and the girls in general.”
Nelly Korda had an exceptional performance at the 2024 Solheim Cup, earning three points from four matches. Her only loss came in singles against European star Charley Hull, whom Korda had beaten in the fours two days earlier.
What’s Next For Nelly Korda?
Nelly has a tough schedule because the LPGA tour season has ended. After the match in the Kinder City City Championship, represented by P & G, the code will take a four -week break at the Korean BMW Ladies Championship.
Korda will next compete in the Maybank Championship in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which will mark the end of his season as Asia’s second wing. Corda ends the season with three consecutive events in the hometown of Florida.
First, she plays with Anika in the gain bridge in Berry Aa, and then plays with Naples in CME Group Tour Championship. This ends the official season. Two weeks later, the code will be played in Naples in Grant Soonton Invitational.
This is a mixed team tournament that debuted in 2023. The cord will be gathered with the star PGA Tour Tony Finau.
The cord will also participate in the PNC championship, an event in which professionals play as a team with a family member.
Korda has played in the event several times and always had good results.
Korda has won six LPGA Tour events this season (five in a row), including the Chevron Championship, her first major. Her results also include second place at the AIG Women’s Tournament.
