Evidence Reveal why Grayson Murray committed suicide and left family in in comma
The official cause of death for Grayson Murray has been revealed by his surviving family members. According to Eric and Terry Murray, the late golfer’s parents, Murray took his own life on May 25.
Announcing in a statement they made on Sunday, they said (via the PGA Tour):
“We have spent the last 24 hours trying to come to terms with the fact that our son is gone. It’s surreal that we not only have to admit it to ourselves, but that we also have to acknowledge it to the world. It’s a nightmare.”
They acknowledged that they have questions without answers, but that they did have a firm answer to one particular question: Was their son loved? The parents said:
“The answer is yes. By us, his brother Cameron, his sister Erica, all of his extended family, by his friends, by his fellow players and – it seems – by many of you who are reading this. He was loved and he will be missed.”
Murray cited an illness as his reason for withdrawing from the Charles Schwab Challenge on Thursday. He had played 16 holes before stepping away.
