Camila Giorgi’s retirement from tennis marred by accusations of stealing antique furniture and unpaid bills – Fanplay Forum

Camila Giorgi, 32-year-old Italian tennis player and winner of four WTA Tour tournaments, officially confirmed her retirement from tennis after her mysterious departure from the courts.

“There are many falsehoods about me. But I confirm it: I’m retiring,” the tennis player and model shared on her social networks.

Camila Giorgi is awaiting trial and is being investigated by the Italian tax authorities.

After her mysterious retirement announcement ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport’ reported that the Guardia di Finanza is investigating Camila Giorgi for “loopholes” in her fiscal responsibilities.

Investigators believe that Giorgi, who is due to appear before the investigating judge in Vicenza on July 16 (for a case of fake vaccines against Covid together with the singer Madame), left Europe and moved to the United States.

‘Corriere della Sera’ reports that Camila Giorgi “ran away and took some antique furniture valued at about 100,000 euros” and failed to pay six months’ rent for a villa in Calenzano (near Florence).

The owner of the villa denounced in ‘La Repubblica’ that “they made half of our furniture disappear. Persian carpets, fine furniture and even a half-ton antique table. We are talking about losses between 50 and 100 thousand euros”.
