Tiger Woods won’t be playing any part of the weekend at the 2024 PGA Championship.
Tiger Woods missed the cut at the PGA Championship following a disastrous second-round display.
The 15-time major champion suffered a disappointing end to a steady first round on Thursday when he finished with back-to-back bogeys.
That score left him at one-over-par for the tournament with a good opportunity to move higher up the leaderboard on Friday.
But his chances quickly faded on the second hole when he carded a disappointing triple-bogey.
Tiger Woods needed a good start to keep himself in contention of making the weekend
His tee shot found the rough on the left side of the fairy before dumping his third shot into the bunker.
It went from bad to worse when Woods skulled his fourth over the back of the green and into another bunker.
He finally got on the green with his fifth shot before two-putting for a seven on the card.
A bogey then followed in the third hole before he hit another seven on the fourth hole.
He once again dumped his third shot into the greenside bunker, where he needed two attempts to get out.
Woods then two-putted for his second triple bogey in three holes.
The 48-year-old had incredibly gone over 1400 holes at the PGA Championship without carding a triple bogey until Friday.
That left him eight-over par for the tournament through the first four holes of his second round.
Back-to-back birdies got some fans excited on holes seven and eight, but those two shots were dropped on holes 11 and 12.
Tiger Woods was one over par after the first round
He steadied the ship in the final few holes and ended with a birdie on the 18th, but finished at seven-over-par to exit the tournament.
Speaking after his opening round on Thursday, Woods admitted that he struggled to get to grips with how much longer Valhalla plays to what it used to.
He said: “It is a big-boy golf course now.
“I hit a lot of two irons that week (his win in 2000) and there aren’t a whole lot of two irons this week.

“It is playing a little bit shorter today because it’s hotter. The ball was travelling a little bit.
“But it’s still a little bit wet out there today. We had a bit of mud on a few balls.
“Overall, it’s just a lot bigger golf course or maybe I have just gotten shorter!”
