Tiger Woods was announced as an owner and player for one of the new TGL franchises last fall. Now he’s actually got a team roster to work with.
The 15-time major champ rounded out the four-man squad for the Jupiter Links Club on Monday with three popular PGA Tour players in Max Homa, Tom Kim, and Kevin Kisner. The new tech-infused league will start in 2025.
“I have already shared my excitement and optimism for TGL as a league and product,” Woods said in a release. “Now that we have finalized our roster with a team of world-class golfers, I am even more confident that this group will proudly represent the Jupiter area and connect with our fans for years to come.”
The team members, as well as the Jupiter Links Club logo were also shared in this video:
In addition to being co-owner of the Jupiter Links Club, Woods is a co-founder of TMRW Sports, the company behind the new league. TGL was supposed to start this January, but extensive damage to the league’s new arena, the TGL SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., delayed things until next year.
Homa is a six-time PGA Tour winner, who recently played with Woods the first two rounds at the Masters before recording his best major finish (T-3). Kim became the first person to win twice on the PGA Tour before turning 21 since Woods. And Kisner is a four-time PGA Tour winner whose broadcasting experience this year should add to the team’s entertainment value.
The Jupiter Links Club is one of six teams made up of four PGA Tour players with the others being Atlanta Drive GC, Boston Common Golf, Los Angeles Golf Club, New York Golf Club, and a final team in San Francisco. TGL is scheduled to launch Jan. 7, 2025 on ESPN and ESPN+.
