Tom Brady’s tantalising hint at an NFL return might hit a snag due to his potential ownership role with the Las Vegas Raiders. The 46-year-old legend, who recently sparked rumours of a comeback, could be barred from playing if his bid for a minority stake in the team is accepted.

While chatting on “DeepCuts with VicBlends,” Brady was quizzed about whether he’d consider suiting up again if a team came calling next season.

“I’m not opposed to it,” Brady said, flashing a knowing smile. “I don’t know if they’re gonna let me, if I become an owner of an NFL team, but I don’t know if – I don’t know.”

Brady, ever the competitor, assured fans: “I’m always gonna be in good shape, [I’ll] always be able to throw the ball. So to come in for a little bit, like M.J. coming back? I don’t know if they’d let me, but I wouldn’t be opposed to it.”

The superstar quarterback even playfully suggested a return to his old stomping grounds, saying: “Patriots? Could be.”

He also didn’t rule out playing for the very team he may soon co-own, adding: “Raiders? Could be. You never know.”

But according to last year’s NFL rules, as reported by Sports Business Journal’s Ben Fischer, Brady’s chances of wearing the Raiders’ silver and black are slim. Owners have decided that players and non-family employees can’t hold equity stakes in their teams.

Tom Brady, the NFL icon, might be considering a sensational return to the field, which could see him stepping back from a potential ownership stake in the Raiders. Mark Davis, the team’s owner, revealed to ESPN that they had reached a preliminary agreement, subject to the league’s green light.

“We’re excited for Tom to join the Raiders,” Davis expressed. “And it’s exciting because he will be just the third player in the history of the National Football League to become an owner.”

The Athletic reports that Brady is eyeing a 10 percent slice of the Raiders, a franchise valued by Forbes at a whopping $6.2 billion last year.

Yet, Brady seems to be gearing up for his big break in broadcasting with Fox Sports, who’ve snagged him on a massive 10-year, $375 million deal.

The former Patriots quarterback shared with “VicBlends” his eagerness to prove himself to his new colleagues at Fox, saying: “How can I get up every day and do the best for them? “.

After hanging up his cleats for the second time, Brady became a hot property in the sports punditry world, thanks to his immense popularity and household name status. While he hasn’t graced the commentary booth just yet, fans are buzzing about the prospect of his analysis in the upcoming season.
