I was factually wrong, as proven today. The Buffalo Bills have traded Wide Receiver Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans for a second-round pick NEXT year.It stunned the Bills Mafia today, as it did me. The Bills will eat $31 Million of dead cap this season but have no penalties next year. This was why I said there was no way the Bills would trade him. How could they take the dead cap hit? Plus who else will play outside receiver on this team? There’s no way!I don’t blame the Bills. He was, allegedly, exhausting. Not just on Twitter, either. Many people close to the team and media who cover the Bills have and will tell you that he was difficult to deal with. Clearly, that was true as the Bills traded him away for really not much compensation in return. The other thought here is that maybe he’s lost a step. After all, halfway through the season, he fell off majorly in production. Allen rebounded this team to the playoffs virtually on his own with some help from Dalton Kincaid and Kahlil Shakir. That’s not why we’re here though. We’re here right now because I was wrong, and own it.In my defense, NO ONE thought this was going to happen. Not one insider, reporter, or analyst would have predicted this. Here we are though.I was wrong and stand corrected. So long Stef, thanks for the memories. We won’t miss the drama.
